What happens when you place an order?

1. Made to Order 

At HippyFish, nothing is pre-made or mass-produced.
Every piece is crafted only once your order is placed. We work one order at a time, using your selected style, colour, and finish, ensuring each piece is intentional, personal, and never replicated.

This approach allows us to prioritise quality, fit, and craftsmanship over volume.

2. Made to Your Exact Measurements

Fit is at the centre of everything we do.
Rather than relying on standard sizing alone, each bikini is made to your individual measurements, with particular attention given to breast width, height, and coverage preferences. Adjustable ties allow flexibility where needed, while the crochet structure is shaped specifically for your body.

Cape Town clients
If you’re based in Cape Town, we offer a complimentary in-studio measurement. Once your piece is crocheted, we schedule a final fitting before lining and finishes are added, allowing us to refine the fit before completion.

Non-local & international clients
If you’re based elsewhere, you’ll either follow our detailed measurement guide or book a video call with us for guided measuring support. We stay in contact throughout to ensure clarity and confidence before we begin making your piece.

3. Small-Batch Production

We intentionally limit our production to 7–9 bikinis per week, excluding accessories.
This ensures every piece receives the time, care, and attention it deserves. If we’re at full capacity, your order will be scheduled into the next available production window, we don't rush or compromise. 

4. Crafting & Finishing

Each piece is hand-crocheted from scratch. Once the fit is confirmed, we add linings, finishes, and final details before carefully preparing your piece for delivery.

Production time varies depending on complexity and current capacity, but typically ranges between 7–14 business days.

5. The Result

What you receive is not a standard product, but a thoughtfully made garment shaped for your body, your movement, and your comfort.
